E.D.E.M

The museum is located in an area that once housed a restaurant named E.D.E.M. (Enjoy, Dine, Entertain, Mingle). This venue was popular for hosting events, weddings, receptions, and various social gatherings, accommodating up to 1,000 guests.

1998

Establishment of the Μuseum

In 1998, my father decided to create the Museum of Marine Artifacts using his personal collection. Today, this well-known institution is known as the Museum of Marine Artifacts “Stavros Valsamidis”.

We then decided to build a taverna on the beach, offering traditional Kalymnos flavors and delicacies.

2004 – today

Passing the baton

In 2004, I took over the restaurant with my mother as my main support. We continue to offer the traditional flavors of our region to this day.

On August 10, 2013, we lost our father, but we have continued to serve all of you, our friends, with love and passion in our home.
